Watch full video of Trialogue panel discussion

SAN JOSE, California — On Sunday, October 20, 2013, more than 150 Jews, Christians and Muslims united to hear what each community's sacred scriptures say about serving the poor, suffering and marginalized. Congregation Sinai hosted this Abrahamic Religions Trialogue and panel discussion on "Serving Humanity and its Challenges". Event speakers included Rabbi Joshua Berkenwald of Congregation Sinai, Pastor Larry Albright of Lincoln Glen Church, and Imam Mubasher Ahmad of Baitul Basir Mosque. The Rev. D. Andrew Kille, chair of the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council, served as moderator. After the panel discussion (see full video above), the Trialogue continued over refreshments as attendees joined in conversation at a reception with kosher and halal treats (see photos here).

The following Sunday, volunteers from each community united again to put their words into action by serving more than 200 meals at a local homeless shelter (see photo album here).
