We are grieving and reeling after Sunday's terror attack against Jews celebrating Hanukkah on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. Because our alliance was formed in Abraham's name, in a very real sense, Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all family. Like Br. Ahmed al-Ahmed, a Muslim fruit seller, disarmed one of the shooters to save lives, our Abrahamic Alliance can't stand by idly without showing solidarity with Jewish neighbors because an attack against any of us is an attack against all of us. This attack reminds us of the urgency of our work to confront prejudice and counter the hate that has infected hearts to prey upon innocent, unarmed people just because of their ethnicity or religion.
